Try removing the word 'temp' from the table name. That's a reserved word.

Thanks I understand that; however, I don't think it has anything to do with a file name.

I've tried to replace the temp with COPY and the failure remains.

If I do shorten the name it works.
CCS support has the issue and is looking for the why and perhaps (only perhaps) it will shed some light on these sudden shutdowns. Logs captured and sent ot them last night so let's see what they find.

Stay tuned.//

not sure if this will help you, but i'll try...

that happened to me before, only on deleting and creating a different name did it work. (page)

when u delete a page in CCS, it doesn't delete the actual page in WAMP (or in your test folder),
or wherever you publish it, i noticed that too.

try deleting the page in CCS, and in publish folder, then generate, publish, then re-create. (page).

lemme know if it still does it.

New finding. It was looking like if you were having problems with CCS disappearing when starting the builder, you could open the page in HTML mode and start the Builder from there and it would work. Well, that does not appear to always be the case. Been wrestling repeatedly with CCS disappearing in design, but if you start the Builder in HTML mode, then CCS doesn't disappear, it just locks up. The Builder window never opens and CCS locks frozen.

I have had some success resolving this, although am not too confident yet.
DO THIS:
1. Setup 1 PC who's sole purpose is CCS.
2. Login to that PC as the LOCAL Administrator only.
3. Always run CCS as the LOCAL administrator on that solo PC.
4. All CCS project files are local on that PC and local to CCS.
5. All CSS publishing is local only to that PC and local to CCS. Then after CCS publishes, copy the published files to the destination.
6. Be very patient when performing complex tasks in CCS and Save often.
7. Only have 1 CCS page open for editing at a time.

I am finding many of the CCS Disappearing problems are related to the way CCS interacts with the OS on the user authentication level. CCS does not appear to have 1 straight method as some functions work differently than others. CSS also "loses it's place" and forgets where it is and what page it is working on. When this happens a shut down is almost guaranteed.

So far this methodology has improved performance but you have to handle CCS very gingerly and do everything as the local admin on a computer that does little if anything else.

Fingers crossed.

Alas, the above "DO THIS" recommendation did not work long term. CodeCharge v5.0.0.16254 is simply not ready to be released as a dependable development tool. Small basic dev is okay, but don't count on it being a serious tool.

That's awsome Oper!
What are the spec's? Environment, Language, DB, etc...
The config you suggested previously didn't pan out long term. More detail about how you do it? Great news!

Hi Oper. Thanks. The specifications you detail above have been followed and the results are not consistent with yours.

The configuration you detail above begs the question, is that type of computer configuration required to run CodeCharge successfully? If the answer is yes, then I believe it only goes to show the fragility of the application and the need for Yes Software to release an update that addresses the applications problems. Could it be true that a computer with USB and CD shouldn't run CodeCharge? Really? We have done extensive testing to find the optimal environment for CodeCharge to perform adequately and found that the application lacks fundamental stability and is in desperate need of attention by its creator to make it more stable. When those issues get addressed, perhaps there will be less discussion about the applications fundamental flaws.

No is not the fragility is a simple CORP PC Setup.

i bet 80% of the poster use Illegal Windows, PeerTOPeer Program, for Downloand Software r Music, had or use Crack.exe to one or more Program

(maybe is not your case, maybe you havent use any Crack Program in your PC, but my point is a lot do)

we all has Different laptop, and Diferent CPU (windows 7, Windows Vista, XP , etc)
32bit and 64bit

so make that 4 License 8 Computer and not even 1 Crash in 2 Month so far.

we are not doing anything especial just full legal Computer)
avoid AVAST, AVIRA and MCaffe (MCaffe just need good Setup) so

i will post as soon i get next CRASH

Note that running CodeCharge from a VirtualBox virtual machine is a
great way to isolate or eliminate variables pertaining to instability
with any application.

The problem is that CCS5 today just stopped to work - when I run it IDE appears just for few secs and then disappeared!! I have reinstalled it, the same problem. Lastest CCS_5.0.0.16254

I have changed nothing in my system. And CCS5 worked just yesterday!!!

WinXP pro.

Yes Software server is offline or at least unreachable to me.
I started v5 4 hours ago and had a warning about being unable to contact the server.
v4.3 has been playing up all day - hanging when trying to add a PayPal Button (using CCTools PayPal builder. Tried reisnstalling both the tool and CCS but no luck.
Worked ok in the past so not sure what is happening.
Yes Software being down is a worrying sign

I have Skype 6.xxx installed and CCS5 runs ok. I do however run Windows 7 on my PC.

Well actually it does not work fine does it? If Skype 6 is killing CCS it is most likely some OS related issue - shared resources, library conflicts, etc...

You will be seeing such issues more often if you will update your non-OS software on non supported OS. Sometimes it will be just the updated app that is broken, sometimes it will be some different app as well, or bunch of them. Just how it is...

I continue to get Disappearing CCS whenever I use the Find in Files searching tool.

The only solution: uninstall and reinstall the product. Then it works the first 2 or 3 times before Disappearing again. That makes for a pretty long search process.

Anyone else with this problem?

I spoke with Support about the mechanism for cut/paste copy/paste and they openly advised that it is a Codecharge .dll that does the work and is NOT a Microsoft .dll

I am as yet unsure about what other work the CodeCharge .dll does but it is clear to me it is not interacting with the Operating System in all possible scenarios, it is not signed by Microsoft, and has never been so really could infer memory address clashes where the operating system is shutting down the .dll mid-routine to prevent corruption to the executive (aka kernel).

Is there anyone on these forums who knows how to compile nested sub-routines and might be able to inspect the CodeCharge .dll's for structure and report on it and even possibly compile a stable replacement?

I can definitely help with the design logic and can post a theoretical representation of a sub-routine schema how I think it should look if I know how it currently looks.

As I see it the base .dll is likely the same that has travelled through all versions and been built upon and so asking Yes to change it would be like calculating the time to turn an ocean liner travelling at 15 knots to the port at 90 degrees.

Lets make this forum work for us once and for all.
