I have just moved my hosting to a Cobalt RAQ server. But don't know where to begin in terms of getting it setup so i can run database driven websites. Can anyone give me a step by step guide?

Beer tokens on offer if you can help :o)

Thanks in advance

p.s. i would like to use MySQL and ASP

try searching the archive at:
(a forum for people running cobalt servers)
http://webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=11

I'm assuming you are the server admin. If it is a RAQ 4, you probably have Interbase and Chilisoft ASP. Have you installed MySQL?

search for MySQL in the above archive, if you are looking to install that. There are several howtos. Be sure to apply the latest cobalt patches, too.

In code charge, you may need to select ODBC to connect to interbase - I'm not sure, but I started another topic with "Connecting to Interbase?" to help us both find out.
