hi guys,
i found some bugs in codecharge 5.1 beta i will share.
iam unsing codecharge 5.1.0.18200 beta on windows 8 pc, centos linux server with mysql, apache and php5.
1. It would be nice to install new versions parallel on the pc with the old ones, to better test the new version and save old projects. its possible to change the installdirectory but its not recommended from ys. in older version i have done this and it works.
2. great is the css3 support, but if i put a label field into a panel property the complete programm crashes and closes.
3. when opening in old project css wants to convert to the new version, if i dont pubish the complete project it will convert the project everytime i open it. i think its a good idea to show an information for that in the message box.
4. i have a grid with a navigation bar, normally if you change the sides they will dynamically change the list view. for example from 10 views to 25 views. after converting the page this doesnt work
5. in version 5.0 and 5.1 beta if found out that changing a grid is not reconised by css, only after changing text in the grid. the same problem is by deleting for example lable boxes in a grid directly in design view.
It would be nice to get answer for that problems.

Hi,
I noticed that the convertion of project with prototype to jquery doesn't works too.
I had trouble with CodeCharge 5.0 and 5.1 on Windows 8 maybe due to mysqld on x86 architecture, see my topic here (http://forums.yessoftware.com/posts.php?post_id=121450)
I have trouble with CodeCharge 5.1 when i try to rename a button or a label they are deleted with the synchronisation (I running on Windows 8 it can be the reason).
My bigger problem with CSS5.1 is that I can't refresh an update panel with an event (end of a remote custom code for example) see my post here (http://forums.yessoftware.com/posts.php?post_id=121537) I really hope that someone can help me for this trouble...

by when are we expecting the 5.1 final release, as we are not seeing any updated beta versions, seems like they are finalising the final release version.
can anyone confirm?

I hope it's soon. I'm getting close to going live with a project that has a couple pages with bugs that are fixed in the 5.1 beta version.

It's looking really good for me. I was able to convert my project and do the jquery update. The FileUpload on master/detail pages is working. It's saving the parameters when using a stored procedure for reports. I did notice that it seemed to loose the styling for buttons when using an Artisteer generated design. Not a show stopper.
So if I upgrade my project to this version, will the project be compatible with the final release?

I think it is getting close. I converted a large project that crashed every time with the prior versions when converting to jQuery Features. I am trying it with smaller projects now to see if the specific problems I have been stopped by are working. So far, file upload and other features are working.
During the conversion of the larger project, speed has apparently been improved.

I am using codecharge new version and really thankful to for introducing the bugs with this version. This has been very difficult in using the software effectively. I hope you guys will soon release a fix to clear all this bugs and help your customers. Thanks in advance.
