I upgraded to 5.1 last week and am EXTREMELY happy with how stable it is. But then I am using it for ASP.net and ASP.net Inmotion projects. Also converting projects went through without problems.

The only thing that is really annoying are (rare) crashes with very large projects (300+ pages) which come without pattern or warning. This might still be due to Windows 8 not being the most stable environment.

The oher thing that really annoys me and make life very hard is the Page Manager. Whever I delete or add new pages, or even if I open a page in Dreamweaver and then return to CCS, the File Manager on the left goes crazy, refresh multiple times and then displaying all pages multiple times. This was a bug from the first Release 5 of CCS, and I am not sure what causes it. Also CCS Support which is usually very helpful is not really delighting in this case.

All in all, I would not trade CCS 5 for anything else.

I've worked with the 5.0 and 5.1 on both Windows 7 and Windows 8, and in all situations I've had many bugs.

- Setting an Order using the listbox in the Query Builder will crash it.
- Copy/Cut & Pasting controls sometimes actually undo the last thing that you've done instead of pasting the control.
- Sometimes when you view the project in HTML mode, it goes completely blank.
- Sometimes the Project Explorer goes completely blank as well.
- I get tons of script errors while using Builder Wizards...
- Dependant Listboxes (old AJAX ones) wouldnt work because they would use generic names like ListBox1, instead of the names I gave in the Wizard. I have to go change it by hand in the Code side, which I really don't want to do!

Anyway, I think you get the point, and I'm sure I forgot quite a few of them. All these issues really add some extra time and work to projects that should be completed much quicker...

Also, I recently converted a 5.0 project to 5.1 and I just got errors with the Dependant Listboxes when I try to open a page that uses them. I accepted to convert from AJAX to jQuery during the conversion, but it still doesn't work... And I can't even go check out the Code tab to see what's wrong because it won't let me.

I've contacted support about so many of the issues listed above, but unfortunately, not a single one of them was ever solved... I don't see myself stopping to use CCS5 anytime soon, it's still a great piece of software, but I'm getting quite frustrated...

The problem is not really noticeable on small projects.

On large projects eg. 200+ pages CCS grinds to a halt. Every change in design view or code view takes up to 15 seconds on Win XP before you can move on. What a #*$^#^ nightmare!

It looks like the program is continually parsing the templates or whatever it used to do before. Previously this occurred once every time the program was opened or you clicked in code view and entered $ (php) then it took two cups of coffees to parse the templates.
