I just upgraded my computer to Windows 8.1 and am facing a weird and annoying problem. My entire project was reset to <!DOCTYPE HTML>. Even if I change the pages manually to <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> it defaults back to <!DOCTYPE HTML> as soon as I compile or save the page.

Please HELP !!!!!!!!!! Thanks.

Well, Internet Explorer 10 can not be installed on Windows 8.1. I even uninstalled Internet Explorer 11, but still same problem.

This just freaks me out. Uninstalled IE11 and Codecharge, and the problem still is there.

Why would they say that it is compatible if it is NOT. This is just insane and not right.

Support is obviously working on a fix. No ETA though. In the meantime I am a sitting duck as this BS makes everything more difficult.

Maybe some can help:

a) All Hidden Fields ARE GONE and really invisible.
How can I make the visible again in the design view ?????

b) I can not rename any field names as I get an error
Any idea how to bypass this ?

c) All documents are defaulted to <!DOCTYPE HTML>. Even if I overwrite it in HTML Mode it default back to this as soon as I compile.

Any input or help is more than appreciated.

Thanks !
