Update panel with tabbed view and tabbed tab. Everything works as it should: select row from grid and the record object is populated. Make a change in the record and the grid updates without a refresh. Very nice, except, the data is still visible in the record object. Same if row is selected and deleted in the record object. Row is taken out of the table, but it still shows in the record object.

This issue is also visible in the Ajax example, Databaseinteraction.

There must be a way to easily clear the record object, but I can't seen to find it.

any ideas?

Thanks,

I've been using the modal popups instead for editing so the modal goes away instead of staying on screen which solves it for me.

You might add some JS/jQuery after the DB update to manually set the form values to blank/null/nothing.

Thanks for the info. Now I have the known bug of using the Upload File inside of an Update Panel...
back to the drawing board..
