If I build the CCS Example Pack

Create a grid using the INTRANETDB - the project builds in a Live Page just fine

HOWEVER,

If I create a grid using the INTERNETDB - the project returns the following:

Database error: Cannot connect ot Database: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified
ODBC Error
Session halted.

IF I build this same project (with the InternetDB) in ASC with Templates - the page builds fine.

NOTHING ELSE HAS CHANGED in the project from the sample setup.

The two databases are setup exactly the same other than the file they point to. Both files live in the same directory and have the same rights.

--------------------

I am asking this because I can not setup PHP to successfully access my Access databases, even if I set them up exactly like the INTRANETDB is setup.

Ok - I've found out some things...

In the CCS example pack there are 2 databases
InternetDB - which has a Database or ODBC connection name: CCSInternet
IntranetDB - which has a Database or ODBC connection name: CCSIntranet

However, in looking at my ODBC connections: - SystemDSN I only have a CCSIntranet

IF I create a SystemDSN linked to my own mdb file, I can successfully get the grid to display on the page.

Chip - yes, CodeCharge usually registers those 2 DSN during installation so you can use the Demos right away. I've installed CCS several times over the years and never seen only 1 appear, I always get the 2.

Glad you sorted it out.

Cheers

Eric
