I disagree. Long live CCS. Don't know what I would do without it.

The CCS forum has become old and unwieldy in many aspects.

I remember when I started how I struggled with the most basic of concepts - I did not know how to setup a lamp/wampserver and odbc was required in the earlier versions, and is not necessarily required in the later versions. These are evolutionary keystones, which should point to different code and structure branches, and yet the mixture of possible answers can at anytime appear to span the entire history of the CCS forum depending on who is answering and on what experience with result of myriad directions, some which may be correct, others that lead to dead-ends because at some stage they lose context.

I say let's give this new forum a try. It's an opportunity to create a fresh and logical structure more aligned with contemporary development.

There could be experience categorisation - beginner, intermediate advanced.
There could be conceptual explanations - form input processing explanations, grid/table population, browser paging, differences between server side processing and client side processing, database schema design, the .html, .php (or ASP), _events.php mvc relationship, how a visual query builder decides the code and efficiency (often inner joins, left and right can return the same result but which is the quickest or most resource efficient).

It goes on and on ...
