I recently opened new web hosting a/c on siteground.com and all new a/c's go onto linux server.

They don't provide ODBC connection and thus I have been unable to get my CodeCharge programming running on their system.

ODBC does not work, connection string does not work.

Anyone have any similar experience and advice?

siteground do not support odbc

https://www.siteground.com/kb/do_you_support_odbc_for_mysql_on_linux/

siteground support can provide database details that you can use for your connection string

I guess I should have worded that differently.

Given that they do not support ODBC I've tried a connect string and other possibilities on their server all to end up without access.

I'm moving on to another provider as I know of no means to solve this problem.

They state they will move over all accounts to this new platform so I'm going to get off and move elsewhere!
