I tried activating and there is no certificate needed: http://www.yessoftware.com/activation/?aid=21
I only see they use SSL on the ordering page.

The site is no longer secure, suggest not trying anything - at this point - which requires/queries for application activation.

What do you meany by no longer? Web activations always used http and nothing was changed. https://yessoftware.com/ also looks ok with valid SSL but I dont know when its used.

Or maybe activations inside CCS work via https or some other nonweb method, I don't know.
But I dont see any problems with https and SSL.

CCS SSL certificate is not secure as it should be for browser validation.
CCS, as a company, appears to be at an end.
It was a great ride while it lasted.
