I can read the database OK but I get the following error: "Add/Edit Project
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Operation must use an updateable query. (Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers)" whenever I try to edit information.

Hello,
The error you are getting has to do with permissions on your server. Please refer to the following articles:

XP's folder properties are quite a bit different. Here is a MS KB article
with screen shots on how to access the permissions in XP.
