Any clues on how to make use of the output from a MS SQL Stored Procedure as input in CCS?

In the Properties Explorer for the Grid or Record form, change the "Source Type" property to "Procedure" and then you can add the necessary Stored Procedure parameters from the "Data Source" property dialog.
