PHP MySQL IE5.5 CCS security & Login form.
Has anyone had these problems:
Often (tho not always) I have to complete and submit the Login form twice. The first time I login in, the login form reappears blank, without any error message. Logging in again then always succeeds.
More recently, after working on a CCS project, I have found that the login form no longer appears automatically when trying to access a restricted page. (It always used to, and I haven't knowingly altered any setting connected with security). In fact, instead of redirecting to the Login page as it should, it redirects to... nothing, leaving the 'Incomplete set of headers' error message in the browser.
I've checked all the security project settings, & regenerated the relevant common files but to no avail.
Thanks in advance
Andrew

Andrew,
please check the following:
1. cookies are enabled in your browser (you've already verified it).
2. time set both client and server is correct , otherwise it could make cookies expire before they arrive.
3. you have enough right to create files on server.
4. you have enough rights to access the page, i.e. user level field has level >= page security level
5. you may handle session time by changing the value of session.cache_expire in php.ini. Please check it to be different from 0. The default value is 180 min.
6. set register_globals = On in php.ini
7. that pages have not got cached.

Ron,
Thanks for your checklist - I've looked through each of them.
THe mystery is that they must be OK since I _can_ log in - it just takes (usually) two goes before the login succeeds.
I'll try to replicate it with a separate site.
