How do you return back to the same search results or page navigation after making an update to a record instead of returning to the whole record display starting at the first page?

On the link's properties of the Grid page, set "Preserve Parameters" to either "Get", "Post" or "All". On the Record page be sure to set the same as the link properties. On the Record page click on the form's beginning semi-triangle that says "form" and the properties will appear on the bottom right hand side to set the Parameters.
