Any known problems upgrading to PHP 4.2.2??

Hi all!

I've got a server running PHP4.0, and I am contemplating upgrading to PHP 4.2.2 to take advantage of security improvements. My PHP.ini file has register_globals = On, as I've read that 'Off' causes some problems.

I've got a PHP-driven CC app done earlier this year and I can't have it shut down by installing the new PHP.

Any worries here? Should it be okay to update? Will any of my code have to be revised? Just wondering.

THANKS!

John

Hi John,

You should not have any problems at all. I did the same thing and everything in CC went along just fine. I hear that 4.2.2 still has security hassles so I have just upped to 4.2.3 which supposedly fixes them and same thing.......no problems.

You should be fine!

Cheers,

Trevor
