I have decided to create a Code Charge sniplet library for myself, but while creating it, I figured the whole Code Charge community might benefit from it. I just created it tonight, there is no code in there yet, but I am opening it up for all to use and to add your code sniplets you think may be of use to someone else. The entire application is written in CCS 1.0.6 and uses PHP and MySQL. The link is: http://kabwebs.com/ccsniplets/index.php

This site is not intended to take the place of GotoCode, not is it a question and answer forum. It is just a place to collect and get code that works!

I also want to add that this supports CCS, CC2 and all scripting languages. If anyone sees anything I left out or has any suggestions to make it better, please email me! Thanks!

Excellent idea, I’ve seen this type of code repository used by developers before – after all why re-invent the wheel?
Good luck Ken.

Ken,

Good idea but you should extend this somewhat.
Register users
Allow user who posted to edit/remove posting
Divide snippets into categories

etc. etc.

Thanks all! I see there is already code in there!!

Trevor,

What kind of categories? Come up with a structure and I will add it in as well as logins and deletes for code submitters. I was trying to keep it simple at first without passwords, if you know what I mean, but edit capibility would be a good thing to have.

I thought about the categoies thing, but you can search any field in the database by using the search box. So if you want to see all CCS, or all CC2 or all PHP or all ASP just search for that. Want to find all with a reference to email? Search, but if you want categories we can still do that.

colors look good, submitted is spelled..Submitted. You have some major mispellings, enough to see that you are an amateur. Keep going though, with the help of CodeCharge you'll be ok.

Call me what you like, I created this in about an hour. So I mispelled one word. I'll fix it later. I also created this for the benefit of the CC Community as a whole, if you are going to complain about my spelling and call me names I will remove it from public use and make it known that it is your fault that is was removed. Why does there always have to one bad apple?

Thanks for pointing out the spelling error!

Ken - Don't let em get you down..... It’s a great contribution :)

Mindbendr: Hello.... is this a case of right grid reference - wrong planet?

Ken - great initiative.

Mindbendr - Get lost. Your words may be constructive criticism, but use your head. This is not a competition, and you are in no place to call anybody an "amateur". By the way, if we are going to play that game:

"colors look good, submitted is spelled..Submitted. You have some major mispellings, enough to see that you are an amateur. Keep going though, with the help of CodeCharge you'll be ok."

1.) Colors should be capitalized.
2.) "mispellings" should be "misspellings"
3.) You have some major puncuation and sentence structure issues.

Please just keep it real....that's all.

Thanks for all the support! This will remain public. I would like to see more people posting their codes. This is free for all of this community to use! Feel free to pass the link around! Thanks again!
