Could you please consider creating a different messageboard or category forum for each technology, ie. ASP, PHP, PERL. It's just as hard to know what to ignore and having support forums for the specified technology will make using these forums a lot easier as well.

this board is pretty simple. but instead of trying to beef this one up why not just just install phpbb2? why reinvent the wheel?

No, but it would be a heck of a lot easier to use. :)
I cringe every time I have to find related messages on this forum. It takes me
ages to search for a complete thread. YS needs to implement a standard newsgroup so
we can use offline newsreaders on it and organize threads better. Just me 2 cents.

if you are having such a hard time then develop a solution using either CC2 or CCStudio to show-off the product and your skils.
