There is a problem with the date builder extension:
1. Have a date field in a form say: birthday
2. go to properties:format:mm/dd/yyyy
3. Add calendar popup picker extension and select same format
4. go live, pick a date ,say january 5 1999
problem:
the picker adds this date as 1/5/1999, if you submit the form, you get an invalid date format because it has to be 01/05/1999.
my javascript is very s***ty so havent figure out how to add the 0 if the date
is bettwen thse ranges ( day and month 1-9)
any clues
thanks

Hi Paul
I have looked at the javascript and can provide 01-09 format for Days and Months
This may mean adding new 'Format Options' to the dropdown.
I will try and get it done in the next few days.
Sorry
I just didnt think of it
Regards
Bill

TIA!

Hi Karen
This thread is over a year old, and refers to an extension written for CCS1.
The auto-responder was cancelled when CCS2 was released, as it contained it’s own DatePicker.
Best Regards

Hi Bill,
Thanx for informing me. From the article in the 'Tips and Articles' section of this site, it seems that your date picker builder has more features than the one in CCS2 so I thought I would like to try it even though it's an older version. I guess it doesn't work with CCS2.
While at this, would you have any advice for customising the date picker in CCS2? I would actually like to have a few different types of datepickers available, e.g., the existing one, one which only allows dates into the future, one which allows a range of dates, etc. But I dare not change anything in the javascript file as I'm assuming this would be the main one and only one. Is this the right assumption?
Thanks for any advice at all.

Hi Karen
When Yes Software released CCS2, they changed quite a few things in the way in which code was generated.
The DatePicker Builder extension fell foul of these changes, and unfortunately died.
I must admit that I haven’t even looked at the way in which the CCS DatePicker works, so I can’t really comment on how to change it.
Updating the CCS1 version ??????? (now there’s food for thought).
Best Regards
Bill
