Just downloaded the latest version and it great. The only problem I'm having is the up and down gif images aren't showing in the pop up cal. The images are present in the datepciker directory and the images are clickable on the calendar just not visible.
Any ideas ?

They are loaded via script.
So will not show in Preview but work in LivePage only.

I have now changed the folder name to all lowercase.
Please
Download again, replace the 'DatePicker' folder with the new 'datepicker' folder.

First of all thank you for the great job.
I experience some troubles with the Datepicker.
Netscape 4.7:
- The popup disappears under the other input fields on the form.
Both IE 6 and Netscape 4.7:
- When the input field already contains a date (As example: on an update form), the days on the popup are shown as text and I can't pick up the date.
Thank you in advance,
RG

Bill, can you solve this one:
When using the calendar and it pops up over a drop down list, the drop down list is displaying thru the calendar. Something to do with hide or layers?
I took a snapshot of it:

Thanx.

This is a standard feature of some browsers. In Internet Explorer only drop-down lists appear in front of pop-ups, and in Netscape 4.x all form items cause this problem.
You will need to insert the problematic form items into a div tag with id="HideItem", e.g.:
<div id="HideItem" style="position:relative">
<select>
...
</select>
</div>

Nope, doesn't work by me. Code looks as follow:
<td class="GrayDataTD">
<div id="HideItem" style="position:relative">
<select name="hwr_category" class="GraySelect" id="" tabindex="0">
<option value="" selected>Select Value</option>
{hwr_category_Options}
</select>
</div>
</td>

What you actually have to do, is go to the simplecalendar.js file, and find this line:
document.writeln('width : 124px;');;
And add this under it:
document.writeln('z-index : +2;');;
This will put the layer above the other stuff on the page. Don't know how this works with Nutscrape 4.7, but it helps with mozilla and such.

Datepicker still doesn't work in netscape 4.x. Popup is covered by other fields and days don't show up on the popup.
Is it possible to open up a new popup window window.open()? like the Tigra Calendar etc.?
Thanks all

After some debugging- I finally got the
V1.1.1 datepicker working on the latest
mozilla (1.2a) and NS7 browsers.
The unusual part was that the original sample
on the totallysmartit.com rendered fine in
the browser, but the datepicker version did not.
The bug that was mentioned in the 1.1.0 discussion
was not completely fixed.
The problem was in the generated HTML- inside
the img tag, the "name" attribute was set to
"imgcalendar". I had to manually edit the HTML
in CCS to rename the tag to "imgCalendar" - (note
Capital C on calendar) to get the JavaScript to
run.
The quick fix for the datepicker should be to update the
generated tag to use the case sensitive string.
