Hi Forum,

I have just downloaded the 'Link Directory' (ASP) with Templates files.

In Dreamwaver I have created a site template and have the main text area assigned to be updateable. Within this area I now wish to have the Links Directory, but with my own site template intact, throughout.

On the downloaded template files, I was able to attach my own site template to each html file and thereby keep my site design alive. But obviously html files do not support the asp script(?).

Then I tried to attach my own site template to the asp pages, and it doesn't work.

I am not a whiz kid on this but would appreciate anyone to give me an explanation of where I am going wrong, and most importantly of how to get it right.
I have looked through the GoTo site, but could not really see anything that would help me (or did I miss something..?).

Thanks for any help I can get.

Can anyone please give me some ideas of what to do?

Thanks

I have never used the Links Directory, but have successfully used DreamWeaver for what you are trying to do. I assume you have a Template file that you are using for your site. What I did was copy the codecharge template file in Design View and then paste into the editable area of my DW template. Save this html file over your CC html template file. You need to keep any {Header} or {Footer} statement on each page if there is one on the page you are copying. You can delete any info you do not not want from the header.html file.

Hope that helps.

Dear Kohl,

Thanks for the tip. I will try to have a go at it over the next few days. Touch wood it will be plain sailing...

I'll let you know if I get stuck.

Cheers, Wolfi
