thanks for the reply concerning deleting the contents of a table. I tried your solution but i am getting an error

Unterminated string constant

conn.execute("INSERT INTO WorkOrdersOut ( POID, .... etc.")
in fact i am trying to excute a sql append query to transfer some data from one table to another then clear the data from the original table
