I just joined the forum. I recently completed a beginners course online provided by Netg called MS Access 9.0 on Windows 2000 Office Professional. My course covered things like how to :locate information, sorting info, creating queries using eizard, modifying queries, working with forms, working with views and records, subforms, creating reports, customising reports and creating charts.
The course did not delve into normalization of tables, queries and macros and/or vba coding? I have no programming experience.
I now want to set up a database for mental health service users with MS Access. I want to write paper questionaires ,send them out and when the feedback arrives chase those who need to be chased for the data. I am currently unemployed so have a lot of time on my hands. I want to ensure that the databbase is comprehensive by including :local carers, voluntarty work/employment agencies,hospitals,day/drop in centres and support groups like community mental health teams.

My question is what would you recommend as the best way to do this mini project using MS Access?
What tools within Access would I need to know how to use in order to build the database?

How easily could I link the database to a CD like the Yellow Pages CD?

Which would be the best Codecharge product to use for novices?
