Dear CCS team.
First please be patient with me.
I like to say that I am NOT an old man to say that I like CC2.5
And I understand that you have a new step with CCS and you concentrate your entire group to develop it and make a new release.
But I think that I have an idea to improve your Code charge software.
I think that some people in the gotocode forum said that.
To make a CCS but with out the IDE section.
The CCS has a frightful add-on but the IDE let me (at lest in my side)
It is make the work go down
The CC2.5 concentrates on how you make your web site without the graphical eye
But when you finish your drawing with CC2.5 hear the Dreamwever OR FrontPage tern it come out I mean the graphical eye section.
Like bulled the table, Fix the width and adjust the size.
All of that make the site take a long time to fish it .
But as you know the CC2.5 in one minute you can do a lot of thing
I thing I am right.
The interface is easy and friendly you can fiend all thing that you wont
And you don’t have to edit on the HTML and see the FrontPage stuff encircle your variables and maybe be one mouse click mistake to drag or some thing like that you will lose a lot of thing
But in CC2.5 you know the drop down menu make it to easy.
I don’t like to be like a small boy to cry!! But I like just to know PLEASE and I beg you to tell me is there any good news for CC2.5 to go along with CCS without IDE section?
Like to add all your new idea in the CC2.5 and develop the interface but let the way of the work is same I mean the dropdown menu.
Please let me know to relax.
Please.
Reg.

I myself was relunctant to use the CCS. But after using it for a few days and coverting my old ccs2.5 I Like it much better. Yes Software has taken a lot of the comments and put it into the CCS. I use the builders and research the groups or answers.

Get to know the SetValue() and GetValue and CCDlookup programming commands and you will go far in the custom event section.

My only request is that CCS 2.0 have a join on a label field like cc2.5

Just my thoughts.

I agree with Husam. CC is a great RAD, much simpler than ССS.
It generates simpler to edit code. No few classes per page as in CCS.
Alone feature that I want to see in next versions of CC is code editing similar to CCS. When you can add your pieces of code and they will not be replaced during the next page generation process.
Everything else from CCS is optional for CC.
IDE is not a good idea.

Thanks in advance...
I wonder if smbd from YS will reply to us

JD I like your comments.
I started with studio even though CC 2.0 is supposed to be better for beginners simply because I didnt come across Yes until a month ago..and I hate learning stuff twice over..Probably has taken longer to get stuff done initially but hopefully pays off in the long run.

Anyway my question is this: Which is the best source of explaining how to use the following terms to a non-programmer

SetValue() and GetValue and CCDlookup programming commands

I used the tutorials and posted questions on here. I also submitted a lot of questions to YS for cc2, before they became swamped. They answered with great solutions. I just ported the code over. My code has to deal with php, not really cc.

Look at this post, http://www.gotocode.com/disc_viewt.asp?mid=17113&

It is how to find the max value of a field and assign the value to a record field.
