Can CodeCharge handle very large image databases?

I am considering updating my FP2002 software with CodeCharge Studio or switching to Dreamweaver MX.

What I need to build is a very large film location image bank (about 15,000 images), with a sophisticated search page that can query by location and or keyword (ie: "farms & ranches" located in "Springfield"), and then display results with a thumbnail image (that can click to large size) and a description of the property. I would imagine each record would include fields for a thumbnail image, large photo, location, keyword(s), contact info, photo date, and description.

Is this a little more than CodeCharge Studio can do (without a lot of hand coding), or should I go the Dreamweaver MX route (with all the learning curve associated with it)? I have been using FrontPage full time for 5 years, so I know the program inside out - but haven't delved into databases yet...

I think there is no problem with CC or CCS about storing images to your DB
it depends on your DataBase ...
(I'm using MySQL for storing images without problem ...)

I’ve not experienced any problems – though I haven’t used every conceivable database option. I’ve used MySQL, MS Access and MS SQL I’ve not had any problems at all.
One web site I created during my early playing days with CC now has over 1’300 members, a photo gallery, ‘tips and articles section, knowledge base and more – all running happily from MS access (because I’ve been to lazy to amend it). It receives around 400+ visits per day and ticks along quite happily, even though I know that there are some real ugly ‘early’ mistakes I made in CC ;)

There is no need to create separate thumbnails...
You need to uoload just one image per record in to DB (MySQL LongBlob) eventually store image info about type and size ...

Take a look at http://www.kosovadesign.com/ (A Real Estate application, there is only one image per record even if You see thumbnails they are created on fly from the same source...)

Your Real Estate website offers all the functionality I am looking for. Did you have to do much hand coding, or did the CodeCharge software handle it all for you? To use MySLQ, did you need to have MySQL installed on your development computer or just on the server?

Very well done!

I did handcoding with in CC project file ...
and an external script to view them ...

I'v made that you can upload at once 4 differnt images in to one record ...
(The Real Estate project is using only one of four possible ...)
and view them via one script...

So there is no easy way to do it without handcoding ...
