The installation program will automatically replace previous version of CodeCharge Studio.
Why not allow the Beta version to be installed to a separate location?
I have projects I am working on in CCS 1.0.7 and would like to try out CCS2 but am put off due to this.
The workaround of "install the Beta on a different machine" as suggested is not practical when you are working on a notebook and mobile instead of being in an office stuffed with multiple PCs for each developer.
Please allow CCS2 to be installed side-by-side with CCS1 so users can move gradually and also you can get more testing from developers.
Regards,

Peter,
Can you tell us how you installed 2.0 Beta 1 alongside 1.07 on the same pc, and both work?
Thanks

Will it allow installation to a separate directory? And allow CCS 1.0.7 to remain intact?

Well, I went ahead and installed CCS 2 beta hoping that it would give me a choice of installation directory. But no! My worst fears have come true. It overwrote the existing installation without prompting for anything except the license agreement. I have existing projects that I am working on and do not want to move them to the beta version yet.
What do I do??
Peter, will appreciate if you let us know how you managed to install both versions.
Thanks & Regards...

I'm working with the beta version in production and haven't run into anything tragic yet. THere are some strange effects in some of the new features but I havent had trouble with the features that were already present in 1.0.7.
Dont worry to much would be my advise, life's full of adventures
