In CCS 2.2.2.40, you should be able to create a search box, which allows you to use one textbox which takes a keyword but takes that value and attempts it against multiple fields in your SQL table by creating a select statement with an OR.

For example, you could have a search textbox which allowed you to enter a number (a User ID) or a name (a User Name), and the search would bring up grid contents which match.

However, by default CCS does not make the settings correct in the Search Builder, and you get the error message: The value in field urls_keyword is not valid

The fix I found, was to go to the Grid data source property, and change the Data Source type from Table to SQL, and that fixed my search.

Dylan,

What a good response.

Identify problem, explain process, provide fix.

Bet you write good code too...

Cheers,

Alice T.
