Hi,
anyone any experience with oracle designer. Does anyone have some cons and pros for making the choice between codecharge and designer when developing on Oracle 8i databases?

If you have the money and time (I spent two years getting certified) then jump on Designer. To really use Designer you need to understand PL/SQL - JAVA - Reports and Forms... I use CCS but not for Oracle projects, my customers that use Oracle insist on my providing projects in PL/SQL-JAVA not ASP or PHP or JSP... While CCS offers JSP there is no real intergration with the Oracle Stored beans. The upside is another customer is scheduled to migrate to mySQL next week after I gave them a TCO report. Have fun.
