I can get it to work on Win2k just fine (odbc, mysql etc).
But on WinXP Home Edition, I cannot get MyODBC to connecto the Mysql on my computer.
I have apache installed on the computer I also use CC on. So server is localhost/ip 127.0.0.1 . In CC, I can set up the DSN to the database, but when I save it or TEST connection, I get an error. When I close then reopen i get the same error:
[TCX][MyODBC]Can't connect to MySql server on 'localhost' (10061)
so of course when i try to make pages (or associate the security) in properties, no tables show up in the project (from the Database)
Yet when I go to the server (http://localhost/ ) through phpmyadmin, i can see all my databases, so MYSQL server is running. (the Mysqladmin is also showing me that the server is running)
Anyone has suggestions on why this is nOT working for Winxp? I can get it to work fine in Win2k, but WinXp is where I am having problems.
I can't find any answers at the Mysql Website concerning this.
