I've only tried making my web site with dreamweaver and I don't have any programming experience. I haven't installed web server, application server and database server yet. If I want to try CODECHARGE, Is that I should install and config those 3 components first?

I plan to use PHP+MySQL but I have heard the programming code of PHP4 has slightly changed since PHP4.2. Is that any problem if I install the latest PHP4.3 then use CODECHARGE to generate PHP4.0 code?

Also, I don't have a database file yet, so I can't specific the filed in form to its corresponding point at database. Can CODECHARGE create the database for me? THanks, I really hope CODECHARGE can help me to create my first dynamic website

You do need the webserver/php/database(mysql or other) combination to do anything usefull with ccs. Under windows you will also need myodbc for the design fase of the project.

There are a few packages that will install all three in one go. You do have to change some settings in the php.ini file. Globals has to be turned on and you have to check if the temp directory in php.ini exists on your drive.

I use php 4.3.0 and without any problems (after doing the above mentioned changes)

As for the database files: CCS comes with 2 sql files that will fill a database once created. They can be used for the demo projects.

As my knowledge about database, rational database can setup some specific relationship amount tables.

So is that I only have to setup and config all 3 servers and create tables with my choice of database then I can do everything else with CC/CCS including assign the relationships amount tables?

Now you got what I what to do, I already owned dreamwearver MX so do I better go with CCS or CC is just fine enough? THX again!

MySQL doesn't support foreignkeys as constraints so you do not have to worry about relationsships in the database because you'll have to incorporate that yourself in the application and keep them in mind when designing a database. If you've set up the three servers and installed myodbc, created and odbc connection on your pc, you're ready to go and do beautifull things :-)
