Hello CCS guys,
Does anyone converted Dynamic Listboxes from article: http://www.gotocode.com/art.asp?art_id=45
to work with CCS?
Or has an advice for creating dynamic listboxes with CCS?
Thank you

I believe you but I can't find it!
If anyone can give me a start I will appreciate it, I am working with PHP-MySQL and need 3 dependent listboxes.
This example works just fine but is in CC and CCS cannot convert it and work. http://www.gotocode.com/art.asp?art_id=45
Thanks again

We need this or similar converted / modified/ made work for CCS. http://www.gotocode.com/art.asp?art_id=90&
This works magically in CC2. Is it beyond the gurus at Yes to create a builder for similarly operating dependent listboxes?
Our team uses that script method (above link) and CC2 for any pages requiring this functioanlity.
EMG - the subject is not exhausted - lack of a point and build listbox set is a MAJOR shortcoming in an almost excellent product.
(So is the lack of word wrap in the code edit pages)

Great example! The only problem with this method is the refresh (in my opinion). I tried this on a large record and it gets annoying when it has to refresh the whole page. I tried a form in a form and couldn't get it to work, maybe you could. Is there a better way? I tried the IFrame but didn't like it because the IFrame size had to be to large and made the form look unprofessional. Maybe on form load place all possible solutions in sessions and display sessions? I've exausted my time searching the net for possible solutions but I know there has to be one out there somewhere! I'm pretty much a newbie to CCS and dynamics in general so if theres a better way please let us know.

Hello again,
I found this project: http://www.ashleyit.com/rs/jsrs/select/php/select.php
It loads dynamic values into listboxes from MySQL tables real-time without page refresh.
Best of all I think it is pre-load all possible values before show, I might develop a solution for this in few days, if I do I'll give you the project URL to download it.

Yeah I agree. The refresh is the problem. But I haven't put any more time into it to find a different way.
thanks for your comments.

If you do not want refreshes .. use Iframes for the listboxes. The article doesn't describe listboxes but the principle is the same: http://www.gotocode.com/art.asp?art_id=271&

Well if an iframe would fit in the same size area as the normal listbox and the listbox would extend outside the iframe this would be a possible solution, but as the irame has to be as large as the actual selection area this doesn't make for very professional loking sites!

Did you ever get the knowledgebase example to work? Just wondering, since it was a part of your ccs project file.
Also, am I missing the javascript document from your project file.
