Can't Get YellowPages demo to work

I donwloaded the YellowPages demo zip file, decompressed it into
a directory called YellowPages in my document root, and tried
running it via the URL localhost/yellowpages/index.html.

But the screen displays label names in curly brackets, and
doesn't seem to be what was intended. So is there anything
else I must do to get it working?

Sorry if this is a "RTFM" question. If so, I just need to
know WTFM to read ;)

Cheers

John,

I will make an assumption that you downloaded the ASP w/ Templates version. There is a readme.txt file in the download. You need to read it if you have not.

If you have read it and did all the tasks in it, you need to point your url to

localhost/yellowpages/index.asp

As you can see there is no data source specified in the "common.asp" file of the demo.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You need to make connection to the database, and that explained in the included Readme-ASP.txt file

Thanks for the replies. A .txt file, especially one
with "readme" in its name, is the first place I'd
have looked.

But the snag is there _isn't_ a .txt file anywhere
in the YellowPages directory, at least not in the
one I downloaded which came with the "Using the
Directory and Path Components in CCS v2" tutorial
zip file.

See: http://support.codecharge.com/tutorials.asp

Oh well, I guess I can survive without seeing the
demo in action.

John,
I just verified the existence of "Readme-ASP.txt" file.
It is in "/apps/dloads/yellowpages_aspt.zip" file (ASP with Templates) at this link: "http://www.gotocode.com/apps.asp?app_id=4"

These files are for CodeCharge (.ccs), not for CodeCharge Studio.
