Really good job on the documentation..Im only about 1/3rd the way through it..
It is very realistic in its description of Code Charge Studio what it can do.. who it is aimed for... and awesome in its presentation of how the different components of Web database publishing fit together.
I am not sure though, that, if I had read it, when I first started with COde Charge six months ago, that I would have persevered.
Though the learning curve for me was very steep and full of frustration..I kept making progress...my ignorance in thinking that it was supposed to be easy..kept me from giving up.
For those who are just starting out...the payback for effort with this program is stupendous..and though I am not a programmer I have built a site handling somedays over 1000 transactions with some pretty good reporting features. It is important to read the documentation thoroughly (the hard part) and play with examples ( much easier)
I am not in the habit of writing propaganda, but in this case, I feel moved to add a few cheerleading words.

I agree. Having used codecharge since 1.0, CCS has been so much of a pain (especially with no real documentation), all my working code was done with CC. Having spent the last week with CCS, I have to say it is EXCELLENT. I have completely ditched CC and only use CCS now, and I'm having a blast.
I'm compiling a list of my own observtations of CC vs CCS, since much of the comments have been negative (including my own <grin>). Hope to post this soon...

CCS v2 with the new documentation is a powerhouse.
Tip :~:>: running a scandisk on all disks with fix errors=on solved (for me) the dreaded right-click & copy'n'paste crashes so blame MS not YS
I'm very impressed with the very clear, well-organised and verbose help-file: this echoes the kind and helpful tone of the support staff and provides good explanations of concepts as well.
The initial chapters are admirable for gentle guiding of the newbie from an explanation of the concepts to a working configuration. Wish they had released this part at CCS 1 beta. The later chapters do fizzle out a bit lacking examples in the deeper areas of the program references but this is an encouraging amount of reference material already.
The online version is what's interesting if it is updated regularly, but it does lack user participation, ie users notes & users example files. Hope something like this will be available to registered customers soon.
At the risk of sounding ungrateful dare I raise the spectre of the dire need for a developers SDK referencing CCS XML XSL variables, structures etc so we can get started on releasing extentions?
Congratulations Yes Software on a very well balanced release.
Greetings
Dave

Studio Two...has at long last...the foundations...to become a mature and professional product...that will keep up with advancing technology and competitors.
I hope for YesSoftware's sake they invest in additional staff and management to support themselves and the product at all levels.
They also have an urgent need to respond in a quicker and more encouraging and professional way to their users questions.
YesSoftware have given a multitude of developers worldwide an opportunity to create and develop powerful Web Applications....whilst they deserve the $499.95 price...I would like to suggest...they create...some sort of "restricted" product...to prime and encourage the many, many thousands that sadly will not be able to pay $499.95.
Good fortune to all Studio Two users
