The webhosting company I use does not allow ODBC on their UNIX servers. Do I need ODBC to get CC to work? If not, how should I connect to the mysql database?

Thanks!

Hi Vince,

You do not need ODBC to make CC work with mysql.
My provider does not support connection on mysql other then from local host. So I create 2 identical databases, one local and one at my provider's server.
To connect to the local database I use ODBC. (CC call's this the design settings). My server settings (my providers server) are set to localhost, the database name and my login and password.

I hope this helps,

If not: Tell me which version of CC(S)? you use so I can explain it in more detail.

Gijs
