 update style sheet from web page?

Anyone have experience doing this? I was going to attempt to make my next site updatable via the web, meaning all the table colors/fonts etc could be updated. I'm assuming I'd have to store the default values in the DB, then read them out to update them, and have it update/overwrite the style sheet on change. Anyone have any other suggestions?
