No need to shout.
I don't notice anything missing in ccs2.1. I also don't remember anything called a "wizard toolbar" Under the "View" drop down menu you can toggle different windows and such. Do any of those match the wizard toolbar that is missing?

Just upgraded to CCS 2.1 - none of my wizards, toolbars are available in the upper-right hand corner of the IDE. Reported it to Yes.

Check your browswer security settings for any unusual properties such as Disabled Javascript, ActiveX , etc.
Maybe something in your browser is causing it.
Just a theory at this point.

You mean the docked window labeled "Toolbox" and "Properties"? Those showed up on mine just fine. I did do a complete uninstall and reinstall though. Did you just update or did you do a complete install?

My bad. My wizards are still there and I upgraded with the patch. Got confused. Been a long day.

Same problems as others in this thread
After update to CCS 2.1 ===
Only builders show now in IDE Toolbox (no Form, Html or other Toolbox items)
I would supply a screenshot if this primitive forum could show it.
This cannot be a serious release --- What's this Yes??? the quality of the app has gone down with every point-release IMHO
I'm not very pleased (

And why would you want to supply a screenshot to the forum? I have the same problem but don't think that you could help me if I showed you the screenshot, would you?

Hi all. Same problem here. Though complaining probably won't help if we don't submit this issue to YesSoftware and help them resolve it. If you don't tell them that it ain't working then you can just as well continue yelling on the street. I already received a possible "workaround" to install CCS in the default folder, though unfortunately it didn't work for me because I already have CCS in C:\ but maybe it will help somebody else.

CROSSPOST
1. Uninstall CCS completely
2. DELETE the CodeChargeStudio Folder in the Programs Folder.
3. ReInstalled CCS 2.1
This method worked, thanks --- but it is just the second method I would have anyway applied to this problem. Why would one have to resort to these convolutions to utilise commercial release-version software??
However I had first installed the patch which should have worked out of the box.
Remember people : this is paid-for software so I demand functionality.
In OSS I would be more flexible in initial quality & stability requirements but I seldom have to
As a longtime registered user of the product I encourage YesSoftware to revise the present policy of using us registered productive customers as test-subjects and unpaid support (I just can't resist helping newbies with serious questions).
<end rant>

A full uninstall and delete then a reboot and a fresh install fixed the problem for me.

I removed the exentsions folder and xml file and all toolboxes are complete. looks like yes has again changed something in the strucure so any 3d party extensions mess up the toolbox. Did not need to do a full reinstall.

Yes Ron I know ( I spent all night getting the Flash plug-in back upto spec.
I put it up again for download at
http://www.rexdesign.com/ccs/kb.php?language_id=1&categ...=44&event_id=65
Yes has changed the plug-in structure massively!!
I'm feeling a bit of despair that I will never suceed in making extentions for CCS. Wihout an API and a SDK or whatever it's just a joke as they do not have to adhere to any standards if the reference documentation is never released and the sands just keep shifting under our feet.
Anyway I get the pluggy to work early this morning - if there are any plug-in developers usiing CCS I would to meet them.
A bit of warning would have spared a few of us some hair
I would like to see some stability and rock-solid performance return to this once promising application.

Well it hasn't crashed on me since the last update, before that I needed to press the save site button almost after every change I made.
The one thing I would like to see is a better handling of javascript. It still is mangling my javascript after I make changes to the html. I'm using the sothink dhtml menu generator for the top level menu's and each time I change something in CCS I have to go back to dreamweaver and fix the darn thing (just opening the plugin and saving it right away).
That is realy bugging me big time.

Good catch about that xml file. For a moment there I thought about it too but since I have already done what I posted in "Studio 2.1 Toolbox Fix" thread I did not pursue it further. As for the extensions, the only one I did reinstall was the rte editor and it works fine for me.
RobB & DaveRexel, guys I feel like I am paying for the privilidge to be a YS tester. And yes, the API is in its infancy and by not giving us detailed API/SDK docs they are really just "toying" with us - probably waiting for some big fish like Microsoft or Macromedia to make a lucrative buyout offer.
