Where is this? I see a Template.PHP file but no other file.

I know the answer can be obvious to an experienced user but the wonderful CCS documentation does not explain this.

Know of any good books on CCS?

I often design a template in dreamweaver and use the template location option (Tools->Options->paths) to set it as the template for the site.

They are probably talking about the html file you are creating when you design your page/website in CCS. The html you write is a TEMPLATE for CCS to follow when it generates your target language (in my case, php/cold fusion). The design/preview mode show what your html template looks like. a Live page shows it with generated backend code.

I think you are right it is the HTML portion of the page seperated from the code.
