Hi All,

Can someone help straighten out my thinking?

I have created an SQL database on my local machine.

I set up a DSN connection using myODBC driver suggested in CCS notes and tested the connection. All seems fine, I've tested the connection, all is good. I then create the project and CCS allows me to select the tables from my SQL database and creates the appropriate forms. When I publish the project to my ISP should the database that I've connected get moved and a DNS-less connection created? My ISP has stated that they supprot PHP, SQL with DSN-less connection.

I am new to all of this and been trudging through the help files and learning Mysql. Is my understanding correct or is there simply a massive part I'm missing?

Any help much appreciated.
Thanks
tr3s

yes. the database you are using must be set up in your host. also, be sure that myODBC is installed on the server so that you can connect to your database from your script. you'll not be needing a dsn-less connection here. your dsn connection will work for you
