Ok I have recently upgraded machines and I am now using Apache 2.0.47 with PHP 4.3.3 and I can not get a session variable. Everything worked in the old version. I have a login page that creates a session, I can see it in the file system. However on the redirect to the next page there is no UserID that is passed. Global is off for security reasons. I am running MSSQL and it is hitting the database. I just can not catch the UserID.

Any thoughts on what I might try.

Thanks.

If register globals is not on you'll have to use the super globals. in CCS Click on the project and in the properties box set "use super globals" to Yes. Do not forget to regenerate the entire project and re publish. That should solve your problems.

I set the globals to on and then looked at the session file and it contains the correct userid that I am trying to pass to the next window. Is there a way to capture this value. I put an echo statement to try and see the userid getting passed and even when I redirect to the Login page it is blank.

Why would the value not get passed?

I am also not using CCS just Code Charge 2.0. This project is 1.5 years old and I can not regen it. I have to much custom code that would be overwritten. What is really driving me crazy is that I changed the version of Apache and PHP and it does not work. So I am sure it has to do with a setting in one of those configuration files or it will not work with these versions.
