Hi All,

I am looking for a cost effective web hosting possibility in the US to put a demo version of my product online. I need JSP and SQL Server but I think that Access could do the job too.

Does anyone of you know "how" and "how much" it costs to put your own server online?

Thank you, Thank you and thank you.

If you have questions setting one up I may be able to help you.
I host my server through www.cybersharks.com they have the best support. To host your own server is about $200.00 and up per month. But configuring and setting sql and JSP is your job. They don't support that combination.

I host a server that supports JSP and SQL. I use tomcat for JSP.
I would not recommend that combination though.
Hosting for JSP and ms-sql are hard to find and setting up is a nightmare. I would suggest using mysql with JSP.

Thanks JP for your advise.

I decided to let someone host my stuff and after a long research on the web I found something with JSP and mysql support for $9.95 a month. Soon they should call me to set up my account. Let's see how well it works out.

Please post here if you are interested to know more. Then I'll keep reporting here.
