Hi All,
I have recently started my own business and would like to talk to similar developers using CCS in the UK.
Lets see if we could get our own forum together based on business opertunities.
Optimistic,
Simmy

Well Guys It's been a few days without a response. What, no UK developers! Man I'm onto a great thing here, how's about I go for a YES CCS franchise for the UK?
Come on you Brits a simple, not bloomin interested would suffice.
Feeling left out,
Simmy

Hi,
What makes you think that other UK businesses that have been using Yes Software for a considerable time – aren’t also ‘onto a good thing’?
Do Yes Software actually offer ‘Franchises’? I think not… however they do welcome ‘Distributors and Resellers’.
Well, you did ask for a simple answer – so thanks, but ‘no thanks'.

Dear YES Admin,
Please don't think for a moment that I'd even contemplate that Yes would offer meagre Me a franchise, as I don't believe for a second that I am the sole user in the UK.
I am just a tad dissapointed at the unwillingness/lack of response shown by the UK community. Surely a local business forum built by CodeCharge's for CodeCharge's in CodeCharge could only be a good thing for the continued success of everyone.

OK Simmy, one here in the North West.
Been using Studio, PHP and MySQL since last April.
I am a self employed developer since 1989 and I also use Delphi for Client/Server and ISAPI apps.
My current passion is In-House Broadband Web Applications so I tend to be using Studio more than Delphi these days.
I am in touch with one other Codecharge user, keep trying to get him to move up to Studio.

Hello Simmy,
You are also a little slow in responding, are you still in business?

I am here in the UK converting my own television library management system into JSP via CCS.
The old application has been running for 10+ years and is based upon C++/FoxPro/Visual FoxPro. I got fed up with GPFs and lack of support so have ditched FoxPro in favour of open source MySQL and proper web enabled software which won't crash/compromise servers. BTW: CCS support is much, much better.
Near to 1st 'cut' of my application but allot more testing to do as system has allot of business processes. The system is allot more complex than the CCS examples you can currently see on the WWW. Automatic RI data conversion/rules, barcoding, multi-user contention testing, reports etc. I am not one for simplistic 'Management' answers but I will get someone else involved for that!
The application is targeted (and used in its Visual FoxPro form) by a 'large' corporate.
I can foresee a need to move towards 24X7 support - but I need sleep!
If this matures in the right direction then a UK CCS user group would be a good idea for me.

Well, chalk up one more here. I've just started using CCS, so far with good results. I'm a small business (2 of us) with just me doing code, so CCS is welcome as an efficient way of getting things done.

Hi,
Another UK coder here but unfortunatly I have also had to have a full time job for the last year so dont get much time to come on here .
Im also now in the "North West" (Southport area) as I have just managed to escape back "Up North" from Bristol.
Im up for joining in a UK group and could offer help/advise if its via email/digest as we have no other daytime internet access
I specialise in Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL & PHP so if you have any DB Query problems or speed problems Im ya man!
Si.
