I need to change the style of different rows in a grid (simple alternate row isn't sufficient).

...
<tr class="<change this>">
<td>
.....
</td>
</tr>

In ASP I could do as simple SetVar, but how do I do it in C#?

Hi! Have you tried to use Label control instead of template variable?
I believe that is the solution
