Hi.
I want to use CCS 2.23 with Tomcat 4, Java 1.4, DB2 Version 7.2 Fixpack 9,
and Servlets 2.2 with templates.
Tomcat is working fine. All the needes .jar files are located in the
classpath and runtimepath.
The connection to the DB2 via ODBC is working fine, I can develop my CCS
App.
Also the publishing with CCS is working fine.
But every time I want to start the first .jsp page, I get the java error:
Unable to create connection 'META' to the database.

JDBC Driver: COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver
Database URL: jdbc:db2://53.4.48.140:6789/Meta
I also created the db2java.jar.
Is there any idea out there?
Regards Roland

Hi!

It would be great if CCS could test run-time connections for validity as it tests design-time connections.

So far when adding new connections I check the following items before publishing:
1. JDBC Driver class name
2. Database URL: host name, port, database name, database parameters
3. Database User name and password
4. Database driver is in server classpath (in common/lib folder for Tomcat)

Regards,
Ignat.

Just figured this out! You are using .app. driver instead of .net. driver. See these FAQ entries:
