Good day and merry christmas everyone!

I have set off on the task of creating an online classifieds system as where I live there isn't a good online alternative to the newspapers!

I am quite computer-aware, and can use BASIC, excel, VisualBasic (although haven't touched that in a few years), etc.

However, i do not know much when it comes to online database systems, which is clearly what the classifieds system will be.

Can anybody give me some points or guides on how I would go about doing it?

Ideally I would want a system with users registering, and having an account balance and being charged for extras in their ads, but if that is far too difficult then a simple, free of charge system will suffice!

So, anybody up to the task of helping an amateur? :)

Thanks a lot everyone

Have a look at the classied example in the Applications tab on this site.

Then search google for other examples (not CCS but maybe ASP sysytems) from both you should have a good outline of what to do.

A site I always review is www.Sourceforge.com.

Regards,

Edd
