i just have a long grid list, i would like the user to scrol through the records without scroling the header columns too :)
anybody knows how

You could try frames or iFrames and write javascript code to synchronise the columns.
My advise is DON'T - a lot of work, a lot of maintenance and VERY LITTE appreciatioon for your efforts.
