a) BUG
When a record page is created by a wizard, the connection must be specified
at startup.
During the field selection process, the type of field can be specified.
Unfortunately, the connection for databound controls is always left blank.
Should insert the connection specified at wizard startup, or display option
to do so at connection definition.

b) REQUEST (for <very rapid> RAD ;-) )
In good database design, field names reflect their type. Would be handy to
have an option which allows to specifiy which control type must be assigned
to which field type.
Mainly on record wizards.
e.g.
- assign Checkbox to "*Yn" fields.
- assign Listbox to "*Id" fields
- assign Image to "*Img" fields
- assign Hidden to "*Id" fields & primary key
and so on.
And yes, just before Christmas I ask to implement a domain concept... ;-)

Thanks
Ueli

Hi Ueli,

Re: (a)
This is not a bug. The field selection works the way it works, but will be
redesigned in the near future to support better data handling.

Re: (b)
"Good database design" doesn't have a definition, or at least not one that
is commonly recognized.
There are various naming standards utilized across companies and some
developers argue that field names should not reflect their types because of
redundancy.
We try to stay indpendent of such issues, but per your suggesion we will
look into the possibility of recognizing field types.
This is actually related to (a) and we will soon be improving the whole
process of working with tables and fields.
