The general date format is missing the short month "mmm d,yy" and "mmm
d, yyyy". Example "Nov 12, 02" or "Nov 12, 2002". Sometimes in grid
columns you don't have room for the full month like "November 12,
2002" so the month name needs to be abbreviated.
Also is there a way to format the date according to the user's browser
settings? So that European dates are formatted differently than US
dates. It would be nice if all we had to do was set it to "Browser
Date Format" which is a date format the user expects. :)

Type the format yourself. It took me a while to get it but in this listbox
you are allowed to type in your own format. So the format box looks like a
listbox but is a textbox with some predefined examples wich you do not have
to choose.
