I want to use the portal sample theme on all the projects.
Anyone know the quickest way to make all the examples colour schemes look
the same.
I want to mix the employee directory and modified bookstore samples into one
and make them look the same.
When i change to the mailbox theme its not the same as the portal example.

Hi Raxip,
I can see your problem
When I load Examples/Internet/Portal
the main colors are dark/light grey
If I want to change to CCS Mailbox theme in change Project Theme dialog
the main colors are blue/light green as per standard mailbox theme

My quick fix because I like 1st colorscheme better

copy \Examples\Internet\Portal\Themes\MailBox to another folder
rename it to something else (myMailbox ?)
Copy your folder from above to
CodeChargeStudio\Components\Themes\

Now for the fun bit!

open CodeChargeStudio\Components\Themes\Mailbox.cct
in a text editor and do a Global Replace of
Mailbox to myMailbox

open the Style.ccs from your myMailbox folder
in your text editor and do the same Global replace

Having saved thes files and checked that you have
the folder structure right
Restart CCS and you should be able to
use your new theme on all your projects.

Sorry if this is not a simple fix
I use it myself for want of a better one.

Greetings,
Dave

Oops sorry

Forgot to mention that the amended Mailbox.cct
should be saved as myMailbox.cct

You can have that a lot easier!

Let's say you have two projects with different themes than do the following:

Use the change theme command and
1. select the original theme of project one and select the new theme.
2. select the origianl theme of project two and select the new theme again -
that's it!

If a project uses more than one theme you will have to repeat the procedure.

Regards,

Michael

And this is as flakey ... I've just used the "Change Theme" coomand and ...
1. I do not get to select the type of the new theme, the listbox is grayed
out.
2. The re-publication has not repopulated the 'themes' folder with new
style.css.
3. I've lost the original .css and there's no link in the html code either.

Sheesh....I'd expected that to be a so simple as to never falter.

What must you do apart from pick a couple of options to change the theme for
a project???

I'm frustrated...
TIA
keijen
