Hi,

I just started just this. I am getting parse error left and right when I
either try to " Live Page" or browse the page from a brower. I know I need
to publish the page first. It has become such a pain that each time I make a
change on the page if I want view the change in the brower, I have to press
F9 to re-publish the whole site. Is this how it suppose to work or am I
doing something wrong ? What's the exact procedure to view your publish
pages ?

For example 1 , if I updated the _list page, if I just click "Live page" or
click on publish button, only this _list page is generated or published,
then when I tried to view the page via brower and click on a row to view the
maintenance page, I would get a parse error.

Sometimes I even got parse to bring up the page when I enter the URL.

Please Help!

Thanks

Jean

Jean,
I guess you are working is ASP.NET ... and CCS ...

It seems both your problems are contradicting ...

In one place you do not want to publish the *whole* project to view a single
page....
But then you also want to view other pages, when you have published just 1
page :)

Ok this problem is actually related to the way ASP.NET works... even in
VS.NET you have to build the *whole* solution even if you have to view 1
page.. isn't it ??

In CCS if you click Live Preview, only the Common files, and the Page you
want to view are *automatically* generated to speed up things and it should
show up correctly in your browser... but if you go to another page.. its
certainly not been compiled by CCS .. hence it gives you the error !
So use Live Preview only if you want to check out just 1 page...

If you want to check out more than one page, then you will have to *Publish*
the whole project.. after every changes you make... similar to VS.NET ...

Hope that helps ..

CCS Fan,
Sanddy
