I have been using CodeCharge for a few months now. I am very happy with in
and think that it's a great product.
I haven't evaluated CodeCharge Studio but am very interested in the opinions
of existing users as to why I should upgrade i.e. what benefits would I get?
Thanks in advance
Sanjay

Well, it all depends on what you want to do. CCS is a very powerful product,
but it also comes with a steep learning curve, especially if you are used to
CC. Studio is an IDE - you can edit source code, add/edit HTML, etc. In CC2
I frequently would use it to a point then hand-edit every php and html file
to get the desired outcome. Studio allows you to keep all work in one
environment.
For my money, I think both products are great deals, and CCS is definitely
the more robust (and more difficult to master) application. If CodeCharge 2
is suiting your needs just fine, then CC Studio may be overkill. If you
frequently add in a lot of custom code, the CCS is probably right for you.
BTW - you _can_ open CC projects in CCS, but I hear there's some
difficulties, especially with custom code. Also, you may have noticed that
CCS newsgroups aren't as lively as CC ... yet. I hope they'll pick up.
There's really no way to tell you everything. Try the eval version, and go
download the pdf manuals and _read_ them. It took me a few days of struggle
before I could really understand it.
Home that helps, Sanjay!
