The main feature I want is to control content before it is delivered to the
web.

1. Author creates a document and submits it.
2. Editor reviews/changes/rejects/approves/returns it to Author.
3. Approver either rejects or approves it.
3. Deployer rejects or deploys to website.

Thanks
Frank

If you take a look at the Portal that's included with the CCS examples, take
the code from the links pages that allows approval of new links and copy it
to the news articles pages, you will have basically what you have
requested..

by making a member accessible news submit page, then using the admin account
to either approve or not the article for display?

you might also look into online html editors for submitting news/articles
wihtout loosing text format.

Odd you should suggest that, because I have been part of this project since
day two, its come along way, but its not something that's ever been near
codecharge.

After playing with exContent, I find it is not quite what I am looking for.
I want to allow users to greate content for various pages on the website.

I want some users to create but not approve the content.
Once content is approved, it then shows up on the website.

Does anyone know of a inexpensive product that does this?

Thanks
Frank

Frank,

Another option might be www.typo3.com.

Regards,
Ian

I think what Frank is looking for is an online html editor you can integrate
into a form instead of a textarea, to have html mark up features in a
wysiwyg enviroment. Something like the pd-html-editor that comes as a free
extension for macromedia's dreamweaver. I'm looking for one myself because
the dreamweaver extension is somewhat limited(although I already use it for
news and articles on the company intranet).

Ron,
for that purpose I purchase Ewebeditpro from Ektron, but there were some
fine DHTML/Javascript free solutions also.

Here is a good resource: http://www.bris.ac.uk/ISC/cms/ttw.html
